Spring Bucket List- it’s time to start! As usual, I was checking the weather on my Alexa app today when I heard the mynas chirping on my balcony. It felt like they were urging me, ‘Grab the paper and start making your bucket list.’ Yes, spring is finally here!
Spring is my favorite season, and I’m sure many others feel the same way. It brings a burst of fresh energy and offers the perfect opportunity for new beginnings.
Why You Need a Spring Bucket List
Spring is too short: It always feels like spring just vanishes even before we realize it, and then we start to miss everything we wanted to do but didn’t.
Make the best out of it: Planning ahead can sometimes help us enjoy it to the fullest by having clarity on what all things can bring happiness and satisfaction to us.
Mindfulness & self-discovery: Creating a bucket list encourages us to slow down, process our emotions, and speak to our inner selves.
A sense of purpose & belonging: Bringing greater awareness to our life helps us appreciate the changing seasons, giving us a closer connection to nature and the present moment. It adds more color to our moments and creates meaningful memories along the way.
Family bonding: Celebrating seasons together and making a bucket list builds an emotional connection and family bonding naturally on the way.

Reflections from Mindful Portrait

There are many people who believe that making a bucket list is unnecessary and time-consuming, thinking the enthusiasm only lasts for the list-making process and doesn’t carry over into actually ticking off the items. While it’s true that not everything may get completed, the process of creating the bucket list itself is fun and should be enjoyed. Even if you’re not able to tick off everything on your list, put in the effort and make it personal. The spring bucket list can help you reflect on the person you were and the transformation of your preferences and your life each year.
